History
In 2007, the race was moved to April 28, in hopes of cooler weather for race day. As in the past 6 years the race was run on very hot and humid July days, making it hard for the fans and drivers. In 2011 the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 was moved to the first week of June sharing the weekend with the new Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway, the STP 400.
